BigThink.com arts writer Bob Duggan discusses how Chris Sanderson's approach to making history personal influenced N.C., Andrew, and Jamie Wyeth in how they made their art personal, with the Christian Sanderson Museum's collection of Wyeth art and memorabilia standing as a living monument to that inspiring, multigenerational relationship.
Museum Curator, Chuck Ulmann, continues the discussion by focusing on the Wyeth art that is displayed in the Sanderson Museum. Take a personal tour with Chuck to see how Chris Sanderson's relationship with the Wyeth Family resulted in several very special pieces of art.
SCAVENGER HUNT FOR CHILDREN: CAN YOU FIND IT?
Sunday, October 20, 2013 1pm-4pm
Search historic artifacts in Chris Sanderson's unique collection to solve the answers to clues that will be provided upon arrival. Please plan to arrive anytime between 1pm and 3pm. Questions will take approximately 45 minutes to answer and are recommended for children ages 9 - 14 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Scout troops are encouraged to attend and this visit can help scouts towards earning achievements or badges.
